mother and daddy were married in seagraves, texas at midnight on april 30 and may 1, 1938, dates and time chosen so that they would have a unique wedding date with both days on their marriage certificate - these are not their wedding pictures but there are no photos remaining - the picture of daddy is made in 1941 while mother's picture was made in 1922 when she was sixteen [16] years old -

this was the first marriage for our father - and the third marriage for our mother -
